About

Maggie Burns (born 1999) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Woodstock, VT and Beverly, MA, primarily focusing on painting, with a background in illustration and proficiencies in other media. Burns has a deep interest in exploring light and narrative in her works, with heavy influences from mythology and cosmology. Her works have been featured in multiple school exhibitions, and awarded honorable mentions at Skidmore College’s 2019 Schick Art Gallery Juried Student Exhibition. Burns recently completed a gallery internship at the A V A Gallery & Art Center in Lebanon, NH, where she worked in multiple areas of the gallery, and curated and installed a show independently as a final project. Burns is currently a B.F.A. candidate at Montserrat College of Art with a concentration in painting and minor in creative writing. She has previously studied at Savannah College of Art and Design (2022-2023, B.A. candidate in illustration with minor in creative writing) and Skidmore College (2019-2022, double major B.S. candidate in studio art and B.A. candidate in Classics).
